April Lockhart
April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She began with guitar and piano in the 7th grade, which ignited curiosity. April Lockhart penned her first single"Different" when she was 12 years old. The singer spent much of her time at 14 writing songs and practicing the piano. The following months, she began taking writing trips along with her father to LA as well as NY. April was the month that she began to write about other issues in the book, Take My Hand, for those of her peers who struggled with disabilities, peer pressure or even suicide. Lockhart has her own following and is an online lifestyle blogger for the renowned Ilia the Clean Beauty brand. It's true that she was born with no left hand, and it makes her unique. However, this isn't the only aspect that makes her unique. Lockhart's Instagram account doesn't ignore her handicap. However, it doesn't insist on the issue. What message is it trying to convey? The message? That we are all multifaceted, and that our physical and identity self aren't as they appear. Lockhart in a video message sent from her Nashville home, says that I do not want my physical appearance to define myself. I am greater than the physical person I am. However, it doesn't affect my everyday routine. I still do all the things I normally would and have adjusted to the limitations of my disability. But it's also a part of me, so I believe that it's crucial to speak about. Lockhart encourages us to keep striving to be self-accepting. Even so, Lockhart admits having moments of feeling uneasy about her appearance as well as wearing clothes that showed her arms. She dresses according to her preferences and is proud to post pictures of herself in the outfits she picks out on social platforms. The journey itself is the most important thing. I'm not certain that it will be an end about self-love. But I think that's with everyone with whatever their insecurity is. It's essential to have those in your life who know and can relate to you. They'll be the ones asking you: What do you think about?
